| Jina's Gym is an effort to build a new gym in the town of Lamoine, Maine in memory of Janina "Jina" Haslam. Jina died on June 20, 2005, six days after her graduation from the Lamoine Consolidated School. She was hit by a car as she was on her bicycle, stopped along State Route 184 and talking with her aunt. Jina's mother and father (Bob & Patti Haslam) and her grandparents (Bill & Enid Neleski) announced their dream to build a new gym in Jina's memory. Donations can be sent to: |

The butterfly flew into the house and was flying around one of the glass doors near the area that we have our Jina memorabilia. The black and white butterfly became a sign of Jina when three of them swirled around Patti's head as she was going for her daily walk the day after returning home after Jina's passing.
