Open House at Seal Cove Goat Farm

The Seal Cove Goat Farm on Partridge Cove Road held an open house. Owner Barbara Brooks (in the black and white sweater) opened up her barn and pens to the public to see the new kids born this spring.

Brooks said the event was such a success she hopes to hold one each spring.

At right teacher Leah Treadwell feeds a hungry goat. Many of her young charges came out to the farm.
The event raised $550 for the scholarship set up in Jina's name to go to an MDI High School graduate who goes on to study veterinary science. At left some of Jina's neighbors look in on the goats.
