May 16, 2007: Ride of Silence

Bar Harbor Bike Shop in memory of two local cyclists, Jina Haslam, Lamoine, 2005, and Dino Torrtu, Seal Cove, 2006, is sponsoring A Ride of Silence to remember cyclists who have lost their lives in vehicle related accidents. It will be held Wed. May 16 at 6 PM free of charge.

It will begin and end at the Bike Shop on Cottage St. and will be an 8 mile flat terrain loop going around town and to Schooner Head and back. To begin on time, participants should meet earlier to register.
Those participating in Jina's memory and do not have bikes or helmets may use the Bar Harbor Bike Shop's without cost. However, you should register by 5:30 AND call Tori at 288-3886 or email at bhbike@acadia.net; she will need your height. Ralph Jones has offered to transport bikes from Lamoine to Bar Harbor and back.
